A 9 DAY SAFARI ITINERARY TO MURCHISON FALLS, KIBALE, QUEEN ELIZABETH AND BWINDI AND NATIONAL PARK

Day 1
After breakfast, depart early at 0700hrs to Murchison falls and drive through the beautiful country side. Drive through the famous Luwero triangle. Take a stop over at Masindi hotel for lunch. Continue through the park stopping at the top of the falls, where the longest river is forced through a narrow gap in the rock (only 7 meters wide), before ferociously plunging down 43 meters, and have a game viewing experience on the way to view buffalos, hippos, elephants and many more.

Day 2
This day, have an early morning game drive through the park to view Giraffe, leopard, hyenas, Oribi, Elephants, lions, Bushbuck and many more. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and then take a boat trip along the Nile with views of hippos, elephants, Nile crocodiles and allows you more bird watching of species like the shoebill, colored kingfishers and bee-eaters darting along the riverbanks.

Day 3
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Kibale National Park, passing though verdant countryside and traditional homesteads and farms. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the legendary “Mountains of the Moon,”

Day 4
This day after breakfast, report to the ranger station at 08.00am to track habituated chimps. Start your search for Chimpanzees and over 13 species of primates including red tailed and grey cheek Mangabey, Birds and other primates. Have a wonderful experience viewing other mammals including smaller elephants, giant forest hog, buffalo, and antelope species. The guide will provide detailed explanations on flora and Fauna to ensure that your walk is both enjoyable and informative. Overnight at Ndali Lodge/Rwenzori View Guest house (FB)
Day 5
Early morning after breakfast, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National park following the mystical Rwenzori Mt. Range. A game drive en route will reward you with views of buffalo, elephant, antelope, Spotted Hyena, leopard, lion as well as bird species. Primates include Chimps, Black and white Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus, and Red Tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons. In the afternoon, have a boat ride to Kazinga Channel, which is an excellent platform for game viewing, bird watching and photography.

Day 6
After a very early breakfast, head to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking.Start your search for Chimpanzees and over 13 species of primates including red tailed and grey cheek Mangabey, Birds and other primates. Your walk will be both enjoyable and informative as the guides will provide detailed explanations on flora and Fauna.
After Lunch, your safari guide will drive you to Kasenyi Area of the Park for a sunrise game drive. Here you will be able to see numerous elephants as well as water hog, lion, hyena, Uganda kob, waterbuck and bushbuck as well as the salt lakes. Visit the crater lakes region, Baboon cliffs and Katwe Salt works for a glimpse into traditional salt mining. Overnight at a luxurious Mweya Safari Lodge /budget Institute of ecology (FB)
Day 7
Following a morning breakfast, we will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the southern sector of the remote and beautiful extension of Queen Elizabeth National Park known as Ishasha, famed for its tree-climbing lions. It’s a beautiful sight to see the lions draped from the trees and we will see hippo, buffalo and topi among other species. Overnight at Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Community Bandas (FB)
Day 8
Early morning, have a hearty breakfast to give you the energy needed for tracking gorillas, a reasonable degree of fitness is required for the Experience. Report to the ranger station for registration and a talk by one of the rangers Before 8:00 am. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas, which trek can take from half an hour to 9 hours. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. It’s amazing to sit, watch and photograph the gorillas in the forest among, listening to them marvel and grumble to each other. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful creatures left, which is allowed for only 1 hour! Other mammals in the forest include the endangered mountain gorilla, rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephant, black fronted duiker, bushbuck, leopard, giant forest hog and many others.

In case you have a free afternoon, take a guided walk on the Munyaga River trail, which leads to three delightful crystal clear waterfalls views of epiphytic ferns, tree ferns, orchids colorful butterflies or have a guided village walk to see how the Ugandans live!

Day 9
After a morning breakfast, we will return back to Kampala stopping en-route for lunch arriving in the early evening. Otherwise, transfer to the Airport for your flight back at Home. END OF UGANDA SAFARI.
